I Wear a String Everyday

DO YOU LIKE MY BLOG…OFFER ME A SHAKE TODAY!!

I Wear A String!!!
I absolutely LOVE my string…when I wear it, I feel strong, balanced, and sexy.  I would not go anywhere without it…I wear it all day long when I am at home or on the go.  It is so important for my everyday functions for work and play.  So….what the heck am I talking about…the String…really Darla…my string is my imaginary connection to the ceiling from my upper chest that maintains correct posture all the time.  My body just like all bodies is adaptable to the functions it performs.  If I were to sit all day slouched into my computer, standing with my shoulders slumped forward, driving all crooned into the dash board, or hunched over cardio equipment…YIKES…would I be in serious muscle dysfunction.  My anterior muscles of the chest, front deltoids (shoulders), neck muscles, and even core would become tight and adapt to that position…YUCK for the lungs as well…all crunched up and not able to deliver great oxygen supply to my body…OK..NO WAY.

Do I have my String On?
Also, do I want to be a person who stands humped over…OK...BIG NO…not healthy, not sexy, not ME.  Let’s talk about what would happen to my back muscles…overstretched & loose to accommodate the slump…Forget it people…NO WAY.  So, I prefer to pretend that my string is attached to the ceiling from my sternum area just like a puppet…walking, working, exercising, sitting, standing, driving all in perfect posture and to maintain great body balance & avoid muscle tissue dysfunction.

Posture Check
This is not about being vain & cocky walking with my chest puffed out…certainly not about that…it is about beautiful posture.  I have talked with so many women especially who want to hide let’s say large breasts or small breasts so they adjust their posture to ensure that all is hidden…OK…on a soap box here…STOP DOING THAT!!!!  All bodies are genetically different and we need to embrace that, stop hiding, and LOVE who we are and please start wearing that FABULOUS STRING…get that chest out, walk proud, be confident, accept yourself…and feel on top of the world.  I have to admit when I first starting wearing my string it was a conscious effort of maintaining it all the time.  I had to constantly check myself and before long, it became automatic, and is now a part of what I do to maintain my 47 year young physique.  When I wear it I can feel my core contracted and strong, the ability to take large full breaths filling my tissues with fabulous oxygen, confidence and of course...I feel very tall…lol.  Such an important topic….posture… and now you know the secret behind my STRING…it is FABULOUS and part of my Stay Healthy Life and the BEST part…now you can wear one;)

5 Of The Most Common Posture Problems

Woman with overlay of spinal x-ray

Many posture problems exist that people pick up over the
years and may not even realize they have. These could lead
to pain, especially back pain, and as far as height is
concerned, can make us not only physically shorter, but
appear shorter as well. Some of the most common posture
problems are looked at below.

1. Walking posture - This is one of the most common posture
problems encountered, and can be difficult to break,
depending on the age of the subject. Those with bad walking
posture tend to walk slightly slumped forward, which works
to compress the discs and cartilage in your spine over time,
making you shorter.

Getting to a point where you're consistently walking with
better posture can be difficult and could take weeks of
conscious work. Keeping the back stiff and upright, the
shoulders forced back, and the head held high are methods
that need to be used to break such habits. Eventually, the
new habits should take root and become second nature.

2. Sitting Posture - As more and more people pull up seats
in front of a computer, both for work and pleasure, the
problem of poor sitting posture has grown. The chair,
keyboard, and monitor and should all be set to positions
that will force the user to sit up straight. LCD monitors
are useful for enforcing this, as they must be viewed at a
consistent angle to be fully viewed. If set properly, any
bad sitting habits should immediately make it more difficult
to view all of the screen, forcing the user to get back into
a better position.

3. Sleeping Posture - The one people would generally be the
least aware of, and also the one that would seemingly be the
most difficult to break, though this isn't the case. By
properly utilizing pillows, by removing them when sleeping
on one's back and by sticking them between the legs when
sleeping on the side, bad sleeping posture can be limited
with little effort.

4. Bow Legs and Knock Knees - These conditions are much more
difficult to cure, and may require a visit to a doctor, and
the use of special insoles in the shoes to force the body's
weight to one edge of the foot or the other, helping to
offset the condition and straighten the legs.

5. Scoliosis - The most serious of the conditions mentioned,
and one which will almost certainly require help in one way
or another from a medical professional. Scoliosis causes
severe curvature of the spine, resulting in major height
loss and other ailments. Surgery may be required in advanced
cases of this ailment.

By improving posture, one can see a gradual improvement in
one's height, as well as giving the appearance to others of
being more professional. Breaking old habits can be
difficult, but once accomplished, will make it that much
harder to go back to the old habits.

Want To Stop Suffering From Back Pain?

Back pain is one of the most common medical problems that
Americans tend to suffer from. The internet is one of the
first places that people come to try to find information on
how to treat back pain.

With today's technology and advanced medicine; you may be
wondering why is back pain such a huge issue? One of the
biggest factors and reasons that people seem to suffer from
this problem is because they do not know how to properly
take care of their body to prevent this issue.

Do you want to know what you can do to prevent or get rid of
your constant aching back pain? Well then, here are a few
useful tips to improve your mobility and avoid back pain.

1. Posture: The truth is that we do not take proper care of
our posture and therefore it tends to show when we begin
having back problems. If you are not watching how you sit or
stand then you can begin to experience back pain later on
in life.

2. Elderly: People tend to believe that as they age they are
expected to have back problems. The truth is that if you
give your body the right types of food and exercise then you
can avoid these types of issues as you become older.

3. Daily Diet: Our diet will always play a huge role in whether
we will begin to experience back pain or not. In fact if you
are currently overweight then most likely that may be one of
the reasons that you are having these issues.

4. Exercise: Exercise and diet are extremely vital for
helping our bodies and bone structure become strong and able
to do our everyday activities without having to worry about
being in pain.

Try this: When you walk, tuck in your stomach and push your
shoulders forward and your chest out. Also keep your chin up.
This is the correct posture when walking. Tough to maintain
isn't it? especially when you have been slouching all your life.

Taking care of your back should become one of your biggest
priorities; so that you can avoid future pain as you become
older.
