Five Simple Tips To Lose Belly Fat

Whenever I go back to China, I'm so happy to see my friends and family that I eat too much delicious food, and  I'm always much heavier coming back to the UK than I was leaving. I used to be able to lose weight quickly but now I'm in my late thirties, I find it harder to shift and I notice that all the fat goes to one place: my belly. Belly fat slows a fighter down and for middle-aged people it can lead to health problems  later on. The belly is a very stubborn keeper of fat. To successfully shift weight from this place, we need to tackle it from not only a fat burning angle but also hormonal and diet. These are my top tips.

1) Eat breakfast

Studies show that people who eat a quality breakfast, consume less calories during the day as whole. If you're like me, and you like to workout after waking, then eat a banana or a healthy milkshake. I use a food processor to blend  a banana with some cashews, walnuts and milk. Food eaten before a workout boosts performance and enhances your workout.

2) Reduce Cortisol Levels

Too much stress leads to an increase in cortisol which leads to fat gathering around the belly.  Holistic workouts like Qigong balance the hormones so it's important to factor these in as part of your workout. If you're  rundown, stressed or busy then take a holiday from your workout and focus only on doing  Qigong. Once you're feeling better then do a regular workout and include strength training, cardio and interval training. Shaolin Kung Fu has all of these elements in one fully integrated unit.

3) Eat Mindfully

At the temple we say a prayer to our food before eating it and use the eating of our food as a meditation. Mindful eating not only makes us eat more slowly, and enjoy our food, it also helps us to eat less.

4) Eat less fat and sugar

Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, grains and healthy proteins.  Try to cook your own food. Avoid processed food, ready-meals, cakes and sugary drinks. I never saw cereals before I came to the West. They are full of sugar and salt. Try not to eat these types of cereals and also don't drink sugary drinks more than once a week.

5) Listen to your body

Our life is complicated enough so don't over complicate your healthy living and workout. Listen to your body, tune in to it on a daily basis and listen to your own intelligence. Your body has the intelligence of the universe, it knows what it's doing. Let it talk to you and take action on its guidance.

Best Workout To Burn Belly Fast

Man working out on beach.

How would you like to get fit very quickly, look great, and
burn belly fast? How about getting this done without
needing to visit a gym. If this makes sense to you, try
this 10 minute workout. You will gain energy and burn belly
fast.

Try this workout to burn off an extra 200 calories a day.
You will be exercising your abdominal muscles, plus your
arms and legs. The best thing is, you will be reprogramming
your thinking so you can burn belly fast. This will make
weight loss very simple.

So to start, jump rope for one minute, doing two jumps with
each turn of the rope. Just remember to use a rope of the
correct length, and to land on the balls of your feet. As
you do your jumps, see yourself in your mind looking and
feeling great

Now for minutes 2-3. Do a squat into a push-up. The
technique to burn belly fast, is to stand with your feet
about shoulder width apart. Squat down slowly, and place
the palms of your hands on the floor just outside your feet.

Now put yourself in push-up position by thrusting your legs
out behind you. Do one push-up. Then retract your legs and
return to a standing position. Feel your own strength and power
as you burn belly fast. See yourself looking and feeling better
than you ever have.

Next, return to rope jumping for minutes 4-5. Only a single
jump per rope turn will be fine for this portion of your
workout. Focus your thinking on how great you look, and how
much more energy you have.

For minutes 6-7, return to squats to push-ups. But this
time, after completing the push-up, raise your left arm over
your head and hold it for 5 seconds. Then pull in your legs
and return to a standing position. Do the same for the next
repetition, using your right arm. Repeat the process
raising your legs for 5 seconds each.

For those wishing for even more intensity, raise an arm
and a leg at the same time. Remember to focus your thinking
on your flat stomach, your powerful body, and how good you
look in the mirror.

Minute 8, return to jumping rope, 2 jumps per turn. Try to
pick up the pace for this minute. You WILL feel tired, but
its only a minute and you are almost finished. Say to
yourself, I burn belly fast, and feel it. You are strong.
You look great.

Minutes 9-10, return to squats to push-ups, raising 1 or two
limbs like last time. But this time, after you return to a
standing position, jog in place for 10 paces, raising your
knees to chest level (or as high as you can). Repeat the
process for the two minutes while visualizing your stunning
self.

Alright, that is it for the day. Cool down for 5-15
minutes. A short walk is a good idea, followed by some
stretching. Drink a lot of water all day long too.

This is a simple way to burn belly fast. Its intense but it works.
If you would like to trim down even quicker, you might want to add
a unique eating program (no, not a diet) that will let you burn
your fat away as quick as lightning.

How To Lose Belly Fat Fast

No one has ever been tempted into a relationship by a fat
pot belly. Nor has anyone extended their life with a big
tummy. That belly fat doesn't enhance the fit of your
clothes. With all the tempting fast foods and a busy life,
what are you to do? If you want to lose belly fat, you can.
With a careful belly fat diet and consistent moderate
exercise, you can lose belly fat, and keep it off!

Lose weight with and feel great with the world's #1 super food!

The most common mistake people make when trying to lose
belly fat or lose love handles fast is thinking that
starving themselves will work. If you don't eat but exercise
strenuously, you'll find yourself drained, hungry and still
not losing weight. Another common belief is to eat very
little but fail to exercise. This approach won't lose that
belly fat either.

Your body doesn't operate that way. With small amounts of
food, your metabolism slows to compensate for the lack of
food. So fat will be burned, but much less than with a
combination of diet and exercise.

The secret to losing your fat is to reduce food portions,
and get daily exercise. You can eat whatever you want, as
long as it's nutritious and portions are smaller. Smaller
portions allow you all the tastes you already enjoy, but
because you're eating less, your body will be a fat burning
machine without the awful side effects and dangers of
starvation.

If you're going to consume 1500 calories per day, then a
half-hour of belly exercise will be enough to slowly burn
weight. If you want to ramp it up, then increase the amount
of exercise as you see fit (pun intended). But half an hour
of belly exercises are usually hard enough for a person to
do.

Why is this? Why does it seem much harder to lose belly fat
than anywhere else on your body? It's not that you aren't
burning fat, it's just that the stomach naturally has more
padding. Also, when people try to lose belly fat, they
usually aren't making the most of their exercise program.

They stop between situps, which slows down the fat burning
process. Instead, when you exercise, go all the way through
the routine, stopping only when absolutely necessary.
Another very effective technique to lose belly fat is to do
twists. Standing with your legs apart, twist the upper half
of your body from side to side, with arms stretched out to
the sides. Toe-touches are also a good exercise. These all
provide for a smaller waist and flatter stomach.

When you start your diet and exercise programs, remember not
to slow down. Missing even one day will lead to missing
"just" two days, and soon you're eating burger after burger
while breaking that couch in a little more. After you lose
your fat, don't stop your exercise program. Now you're fit,
so keep yourself that way!

Crunches - Not The Answer For Six Pack Abs

The truth about crunches! We all seek answers to achieving
ripped abs. The truth about crunches is that they are good
for our abdominal muscles, but they will not give you the
ripped abs that you want. To get ripped abs, you need to
work on fat burning exercises that will burn overall fat,
watching what we eat and eliminating stress from our lives.

Doing crunches may be stopping you from getting six pack abs
because it doesn't focus on what needs to be trained.
Crunches strengthen, stabilize and develop the abdominal
area. But to get six pack abs, we need to focus on overall
fat burning.

Overall fat burning exercises are activities that allow us
to train our whole body to increase our metabolism. By
increasing our metabolism, we are better able to burn fat
and utilize the excess belly fat, which results in more
visibility of the abdominal muscles.

Resistance training has been shown to increase metabolic
activity and help the body to consume more body fat.
Increasing lean body mass through resistance training allows
us to utilize more fuel for our muscles.

Watching what we eat is important as well. By eating quality
foods, which are rich in protein, fat, carbohydrates,
vitamins and minerals, we fuel our body to function better.
Instead of eating 3 big meals per day, we can increase our
meals to 5-6 and decrease the meal portions. This will allow
us to maintain our energy and blood sugar levels throughout
the day.

Stress affects our bodies in a way that makes our bodies
react in an emergency mode. When our bodies are in a
stressful situation, Cortisol is released and causes fat to
be stored in the abdominal area.

There are several ways to decrease the amount of stress in
our lives. Activities like deep breathing, tai chi, and
yoga, have ways of calming the body down and help to reduce
stress.

Crunches, in truth, are good for you but to achieve defined
ripped abs, we need to focus on other factors. Activities like
resistance training, watching what we eat and eliminating stress
from our lives, will help us achieve our ripped six-pack abs.

How To Banish Belly Fat With 3 Easy Changes

Losing belly fat can be easy, as long as you implement these
healthy techniques! They are not only easy, but they don't
require you to make any drastic changes to your lifestyle.
And no, its not a new diet or special exercise! Instead they
are simply a few changes in the way you do everyday things!

1. Breakfast is the king: Every morning you wake up from a 9
or 10 hour fast. So you need to re-fuel your body by eating,
or by breaking the fast, hence the word break-fast!

We all know the rule that breakfast is the most important
meal of the day. Only most people don't know that not eating
a proper breakfast leads to weight gain. Most people eat a
small breakfast (some people skip breakfast all together),
a medium sized lunch and a large dinner. Eating this way
only increases the odds for weight gain.

In order to lose fat fast, you need to reverse your eating
schedule. This means your breakfast should be the largest
meal of the day, and your dinner should be the smallest one.
If you have a large dinner, you will usually go
to sleep soon after. As a result, your body won't be able to
burn all those extra calories from your large dinner. It
will instead store them as excess fat deposits.

If you make breakfast the biggest meal of your day,
your body will have the entire day to filter those calories,
using what it needs and eliminating what it doesn't. This
means that weight gain will reduce dramatically.

2. Sugar causes weight gain: Sugar is a major cause of
weight gain. The human body can convert sugar into fat
deposits really fast. Sugar can give you a speedy burst of
energy when you think you need it, but it will also cause
cravings, which inevitably lead to weight gain.

The more sugar you eat, the stronger the cravings become,
the more weight you gain, and the less happy you are. Rather
than sugar, you should eat potatoes, rice, natural fruits
and vegetables, bread, and pasta, all of which produce good
glucose.

3. Water speeds up fat loss: Drinking plenty of water is
essential for losing weight naturally and staying healthy!
Remember that no matter how much water you drink you wont
gain weight, water cant convert into fat. And if you have a
hard time waking up in the morning, it is probably because
you are dehydrated.

Remember that your body requires sufficient water in order
to maintain even minor bodily functions. If you don't supply
it with enough water, it will begin storing water instead of
flushing it out. This results in increased weight gain,
which is not much fun!

How To Get A Flat Stomach In Just 15 Minutes A Day

When it comes to weight loss, one of the most frequently
asked questions has definitely been how to lose belly fat.
That's not really surprising right? I mean, who doesn't want
a flatter stomach? Now while you can't specifically target
the belly when you want to burn fat, I'm going to show you a
really effective way to loose belly fat and strengthen your
abs.

The best way to go about getting rid of any fat is to
perform intense workouts. And to lose belly fat, this is
definitely among the best intense workouts you'll ever come
across.

This intense workout is known as High Intensity Interval
Training (HIIT). Why is HIIT so good? Because unlike
conventional jogging (for some reason, people think jogging
is the best weight loss exercise, when it definitely isn't),
HIIT increases your metabolism such that you will be burning
calories even after you are done with the workout. And here
is another thing really good about HIIT. Unlike jogging, you
can finish one HIIT workout in just 15 minutes. Who says
you have to spend a lot of time to work out?

Here is how you can properly perform the HIIT so that you
get the maximum benefit from it. All you need for this
workout is a good pair of running shoes, a stopwatch and
sports clothes. It's better if you head to the a track for
this workout. After you warm up and stretch, you will start
the workout.

What you are going to do is jog for 60 seconds and then
sprint as fast as you can for 30 seconds, then jog for 60
seconds and sprint for 30 seconds. Continue this for 15
minutes. Just make sure you include a healthy, varied diet.
If not, you will render this workout useless.
