Lorna Jane Active Living Sporty Sister SNEAK PEAK

I have been pinching myself these last couple of days. I received a call from the beautiful Lorna Jane team last week inviting me to be part of their Active Living Sporty Sister campaign next month. I have been nothing but humbled and of course jumped at the opportunity.

I was going to write how chaotic my Thursday was with the logistics of arranging our 4 kids baby sitting, getting a spray tan, nails done, getting my pop colour runners, writing up a Vision Crusaders (if you haven't already done so, please LIKE my Richard Branson picture) proposal to hand to Lorna personally in hope she can sponsor my 6 Rides to Conquer Cancer etc......

Instead I'll just give you the snippets of what a wonderful experience this whole Lorna Jane gig was.

Campaign manager Sofie told me to bring my brightest coloured accessories I typically work out in and of course that included my nails, arm candy and runners!

Pop colour workout gear

A HUGE THANK YOU to owner Paul Tudorovic at Ballarat's Athletes Foot for my amazing runners for my Lorna Jane photo shoot. For my local readers, please head down to Bridge Mall as they have their massive half yearly SALE ON NOW!!!!

My view from my hotel room as I arrived at 11:30pm in BrisVegas late Thursday night.

Brisbane River View

Arriving at 5:45am to meet the Lorna Jane girls Sofie, Kristina and Kelly at their head office in Eagle Farm. Meeting one of the worlds top make up artists Tania Travers , she is truly one beautiful and talented lady! Me posing in the studio and all the gear ready for us to shoot on location.

Lorna Jane Studio

Our first shoot was at New Farm park, Brisbane around 7am and what a wonderful way to kick start the day, giving the Founder and inspirational lady a big hug!!! I was hugging her like there was no tomorrow. Meeting people you admire and look up to is a very rare moment in life, so I made the most of it. As you can see :-)

BTW I took the first opportunity to let Lorna know I had a Vision Crusaders pack to give to her before she left for the day.

Next stop was at the Biologic Labs around 10am where Lorna Jane herself trains with her trainer Matt (who mind you killed me when I did 100kgs leg presses!! I am still sore as I type!). It was super awesome meeting my Sporty Sister Maileen Hawthorne who has the fittest body going around. She has inspired me to be more diligent, so thank you my beautiful friend. I love you.

Tania working her magic, making me look all gorgeous and Lorna going through my kettle bell interval pics.

Biologic Labs photoshoot

Last stop was at the Metro Arts Centre where we wrapped up the shoot and here's Lorna going through my pics again.

Lorna Jane Active Living Sporty Sisters campaign (sneak peak)

So all in all, an absolutely sensational day. THANK YOU LORNA JANE AND THE ENTIRE LORNA JANE TEAM. You have the best team!!! Thank you for your warm welcome and making us feel so comfortable and at home. Can't forget our amazing camera boys!!!! Love you Jason and Rod!

Ahhhhh yes, how beautiful is Lorna as she was leaving she said:

"Dani, you told me to remind you to give me your Vision Crusaders pack".

So here was my front cover!

Lorna Jane please sponsor my 6 Rides To Conquer Cancer

Fingers crossed! As I would love to be a Lorna Jane ambassador as I ride my butt off, to raise more awareness and money for research to get rid of this deadly disease, that takes 1 in 3 lives away from us. If you are reading this Lorna, I look forward to hearing from you soon x

Pretty cool huh? Never a dull moment in Dani's day. Can't wait when the campaign is launched so you can check out all the pics!

To top my day off, I caught up with my gorgeous friend Shari from Your Family Survival Coach who is just the best person in my life! Thank you Shari AKA wing woman, for meeting me with your gorgeous little Grace.

There you go my wonderful friends, dreams do come true and I have each and every one of you to thank. Your love and support that I receive on a daily basis is simply mind blowing!

At the end of the day I am living my life for all the like minded people that share my passion. It is an absolute honour and privilege to have a chance to make a difference - a qualitative difference in peoples lives and that is why I love what I do.

I need everyone's support.

Hello everyone, you may remember my post HERE about my surprise photo shoot? My lovely friends at Lorna Jane were super kind to let me wear their active gear for a photo shoot I was doing for Richard Branson.

I have signed up for something very amazing. Yes. It's truly amazing. I am riding with thousands of cyclists to conquer cancer once and for all.

Our sensational captain Klaus Bartosch along with other phenomenal cyclists are called THE VISION CRUSADERS. We are attempting something that has never been done before. We are all dreamers and I have been told I can't do this but you know what? I WILL DO THIS!!!! 200kms, 6 races nationwide (and New Zealand) and per person we need $2,500 per ride to enter the fundraiser. I will do Every. Single. Ride. The Grand Slam and need your support as I start my campaign.

Here they all are!!!!

Rides to be Completed and seeking sponsorship:

Ride to Conquer Cancer (Brisbane) August 17-18*
Ride to Conquer Cancer (Perth) October 19-20
Ride to Conquer Cancer (Melbourne) October 26-27
Ride to Conquer Cancer (Auckland) November 17-18

To sponsor my final ride in Adelaide November 30th & December 1 CLICK HERE

So what's this cycling stuff really all about? Well here is a letter to the amazing man himself who inspired me as a young adult "Whatever business you are in, every company can shoot for the stars in their own way".

Sir Richard Branson will you come ride with us?

So here's me shooting for the highest star out there.....

Dear Sir Richard

My name is Daniela and I'm a fitness blogger based in Australia. My blog www.fitnessfoodandstyle.blogspot.com.au is only young and I've 80,000 people following me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest. I love that my food and fitness challenges are inspiring others worldwide to make great changes in their lives, much like reading your Screw it, Let's Do it did for me 7 years ago. Thank you!

Currently I'm involved in a massively exciting campaign to fight cancer, a cause I have great passion for. I've joined with an amazing team of cyclists - all ordinary people, some cancer survivors - and we are riding to rid the world of Cancer. It's a big and bold goal but our team is determined to make a difference through completing all 6 of the Ride to Conquer Cancer events being held across Australia and in New Zealand this year.

Our team -  Vision Crusaders Grand Slam - will ride in all 6 of the RTCC events this year which will mean more than 1200km,  pedaling over 12 days through August to November. Each rider has to raise at least $15,000 plus cover their travel costs, and to date there are 27 riders wanting to ride in the Grand Slam team. There's expected to be total of around 12,000 cyclists participate across the 6 rides. Awesome, don't you think?

During your visit here in Australia, I'm hoping that you might help us do what could become your biggest achievement yet, helping to rid the world of cancer! Can you imagine how wonderful a world with out cancer would be!

Completing the RTCC Grand Slam is a massive challenge and we already have some Virgin brands supporting us, but knowing that you are personally contributing your interest would ensure that we actually pull it off. Primarily what I am asking is to have your encouragement but cheekily this is an invitation to have you join us for one or all of these rides as a member of our Vision Crusaders Grand Slam team. Are you keen?

I do hope that this is something you might consider and I look forward to hearing from you.

Much love and friendship from Australia,
Daniela Stevens

Thank you for your time my beautiful friends. Please LIKE this page and picture. I want to reach 1 million likes and make a YouTube video to follow up with this picture to Sir Richard Branson.

PS: for those wondering why I am doing this? I don't want to be a statistic. I have had family members die and thankfully others survived. I need you to help me so we can raise as much ridiculous funds to conquer cancer once and for all. For those reading this and know of any sponsors that would love to personally sponsor me, please email me with the subject title: CHARITY SPONSORSHIP. I will love you FOREVER!!!!  dani@fitnessfoodandstyle.com.au

80/20 Fully Raw revised diet plan PLUS a 5 day mini squats challenge YOU IN?

This would be one of the hardest things I've done. So what I did this past week was turn our #standfully rawesome challenge into 80/20. Which means we eat 80% raw foods and 20% animal products eg: yogurt, meat etc... I am feeling a lot better. I was experiencing a lot of fatigue, dizziness and faint type symptoms AND I was always hungry!!! Which made me convert to 80/20 until I get the hang of things.

So my meals have looked like this;

Breakfast
HUGE bowls of mixed fruit salads

Watermelon fruit salad bowl

Snacks
Green juices and/or smoothies

Green berry smoothie

Ingredients
150g spinach
1 cup of frozen blue/raspberries
2 bananas
1 pear
1 scoop of 180 Nutrition Protein powder
1tbs chia seeds
Splash of water

Simply use your preferred blender (I have a Kenwood and Scheffield/Magic bullet style blenders) and watch these vitamins, minerals and protein turn into one jam packed and powerful meal!!! Approx. 500 calories

NB: please ensure you use my 10% promo code 264464 exclusively for all my readers, should you wish to order any 180 Nutrition products. They are amazing!

Lunches
HUGE plate full of raw vegetables

Fully raw vegetable salads

Dinners
Fruit salads and raw/cooked vegetables with chicken, beef and fish dishes

Silver beet and coconut chicken

This was our dinner tonight. All I had in the fridge was chicken, silver beet, coconut milk, garlic and tarragon herbs. So this is what I whipped up.

Ingredients

500g chicken thighs (cut in bite sizes) seasoned with S&P and
1tsp of tarragon (use whatever herbs you like)
bunch of chopped up silver beet (you can use spinach)
3 gloves of crushed garlic
1 can coconut milk

Method
1. Simply heat sauté pan (I use Chefs toolbox proudly sponsored by Janet Smith
2. Cook chicken with crushed garlic until golden brown. Set aside.
3. Add chopped silver beet and sauté with chicken juices until soft
4. Pour coconut milk and cook until slightly boiled.
5. Mix chicken through for a few minutes to absorb all the delish flavours and voila!

Super quick, super tasty and so yummy with crusty bread if I was eating it!!! ha ha Otherwise with brown rice or quinoa this would be amazing!!!

What's new?

What's been happening with you? Fill me in with how this challenge has changed your view on your eating, cooking habits and whether you have incorporated at least one raw meal per day?

Things in my world have been go! go! go! Soooo much to fill you in with so I'll try and give you a snapshot;

- Kitchen has been a mess with all the prep work required eating fully raw
- Our kids have been amazing embracing raw foods
- House is not so home beautiful as I am starting to get real busy with my site and migrating across to Wordpress

Day 7 - no added sugar challenge

We're half way there!!! Woo hoo!! How good!!!

I'm pretty excited myself, the sensational R&B artist Craig David (7 days) is following me on Instagram so in commemoration along with motivating me for a further 7 days, here is the wonderful Craig David below. He's looking in tip top shape I must admit.

Craig David 7 days

Today was another hot day but managed to squeeze in my FYM workout and was happy to get a few chores done while Zali was asleep. Things can get on top of me if I don't do little things every single day. If I leave one little thing, it's double the amount the next day.

How are you going? What's your eating been like, minus all this sugar? Are you bringing your snacks? Making your lunch, choosing healthy meals when not at home? Doing your meal preps etc....?

Here's mine for the day.

Breakfast
Poached eggs with smoked salmon and asparagus

Snack
Vegetable sticks with sweet potato dip

Lunch
Salad in a wholemeal wrap
180 Nutrition protein shake

Snack
3 serves of fruit and handful (5-6) of walnuts

Dinner
Salmon grilled with vegetables

Quick bbq tonight and made life real simple by placing the zucchini and sweet potato on there as well. Dinner ready in 10 minutes!!!

Dessert
Choc berry mud sorbet from Sarah Wilson I QUIT SUGAR ebook

I really had a terrible day today with a banging head ache and really super duper lethargic! Feeling better now as I type but sheesh I hit a slump between 12-5pm!!!

Hope you are feeling well and look forward to reading your comments below. Half way there!!! YAY! So proud of you!!!

Xx Dani
